What the site collects

Information about your visit, such as the pages you view, your device and browser, and your general location.

If you join a waitlist, or fill in the onboarding questionnaire on the UGC page, the site also keeps the email address and answers you send, so I can reply. Sending them is your consent to that.

If you sign up for the newsletter, the site keeps your email address, the wording you agreed to, when you agreed, and which emails you open or click. You only get the newsletter after you confirm by email, and every newsletter has a link to unsubscribe.

How it's used

To understand who the site reaches and to follow up with people I've contacted. Basic visit counts rely on legitimate interest, and everything else runs only with your consent. Service providers that host and store the data process it on my behalf, including in the United States under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework or Standard Contractual Clauses. Embedded YouTube videos send data to Google when they load. Contacts are stored with Neon (a database) and emails are sent with Resend. Visit data is deleted after 12 months. Your email address is kept while you're subscribed or we're in touch, and deleted within 12 months after that. If you unsubscribe, the site keeps only your address and the fact that you opted out, so you're never emailed again.

If you buy a seat in the challenge

Obsidia LLC, my company, sells seats in Folder to YouTube. Stripe takes the payment and shares your name, email address, country, and what you paid. Your card details stay with Stripe. I use your email address to send your access, the day 1 details, and messages about your cohort, because they're part of what you bought. Purchase records are kept as long as US tax law requires.

The community runs on Skool, which has its own privacy policy and receives what you give it when you join. The live calls are recorded, and the recordings go to your cohort. If a referral program opens, your referral code and how many times it was used are stored in Stripe with your email address, so payouts can be made.

Your rights

You can access, correct, delete, restrict, or move your data, object to its use, and withdraw consent at any time below.

You can also complain to a data protection authority, if you feel something isn't above board.
